At the weekly sole at Pahiatua a moderate yarding of sheep and dairv cows came forward and met with good competition. Values for slioep, especially hoggets, showed marked appreciation on previous sales, due to the start of the spring growth of grass. Any dairy heifers near profit sold well: later calvers were neglected. Weaner pigs sold exceptionally well, realising ,up to 355. Quotations:— Medium wethers hoggets, 17s id; good, 21s; b.f. hoggets (small), 13s; ewes and b.f. lambs at foot, all counted, 17s Bd.- Store pigs, 355, 28s 6d; weaner pigs, to 355. Jersey heifers, near profit, £6 os, £6 7s 6d, £6 15s, £7 2s 6d; later calvers, £6, £5 ss; cows in profit (good), £S.
