COMING-OF-AGE.
A most enjoyable dinner party was given in honour of the coming-of-age of Miss Bobbie Brooker, last evening. Afterwards the guests adjourned to Miss Beth Parkes’s studio, where dancing was enjoyed, and the party ended with supper at the residence of Mr and Mrs E. R. B. Holben in Pascal Street, where the room was tastefully decorated with spring flowers. Miss Brooker wore an unusual frock of multi-coloured satin romainc with a swathed blue sash. Staying with Mr and Mrs Holben for the occasion were Misses B. MeClurg (Napiei-) M. Dickie (TVaverley) and J. Hewitt (Waipukurau).
