ASHHURST RIFLE CLUB

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASIIHURST, Aug. 23. The Ashliurst Rifle Club fired the final shoot' for the F. Bassett Cup and the handicap' shoot for Mrs W. G. Romley s trophy. The shooting 1 - commenced at the 600 yd range and was continued at the 500 and 300 yd ranges. The outstanding feature was the brilliant shoot, by R. A. Jones, who dropped Lis fourth counter at 600yds and continued with 17 consecutive bulls eyes to register the great total of 104 and 105, creating a fresh range record and ! winning the Bassett Cup.
