YOUTH QUESTIONED.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 25. Detectives visited a house at Ellerslie at 12 o’clock this morning, questioned a youth, and took him to the detective office for further interrogation. As he was under 17 years, of age' and not liable to arrest, the youth was sent to the Mount Albert Boys’ Home pending a charge before the Children’s Court. The investigation was connected with the assault on an e’cTerly New Lynn storekeeper who was hit on the head with a blacksmith’s hammer lying on liis counter.
