MARSHALL BEATS JOHNSON. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, June 24. In a professional boxing match at Hamilton last evening, Clarrie Marshall (Gisborne), lOst 121 b. beat Don Johnson Auckland), lOst 31b, in a
fast bout on points. A professional preliminary match between Jack Duncan Frankton), 9st 91b, and Pat Murphy (England), 9st B^lb, resulted in a win for the former on points. This was Murphy’s first appearance in New Zealand and he claims 192 victories in 200 fights. The match marked Duncan’s professional debut.
