OBITUARY.
MRS R. W. BOOTH. After a lengthy illness M rs R- W. Booth, a well-known resident, died at her home in Otaki last week. A daughter of the late Mr ahu Mrs William Giblin, Nelson, Mrs Booth went to Otaki as a bride about 40 years ago and had resided all her married life in the district. SI mi is survived by her husband and their- daughters, Mrs W. K. Little, Paraparaumu; Mrs Maurier Forlong, Maraetai, , ■ Auckland ; and Miss Joyce Booth, Otaki. Mrs Conavan, Auckland, and Misses A. arid E. Giblin, Palmerston North, are sisters, and Mr R. P. Giblin, Wanganui, is a brother.
MRS E. C. RIDDIFORD. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 14. Fatal head injuries were received by Mrs Eleanor Caroline Riddiford; widow of Mr Edward Joshua”Riddiford, when she was knocked down by a van while crossing the road to- her home at Lower Hutt at about 5.40 this evening. Mrs Riddiford was unconscious when picked up and died at lier home two hours later without regaining conSC Mrs"Riddiford. who was the'daughter of an early Wellington pioneer, the late Mr Henry Bunny, former DeputySuperintendent of the Wellington province, was born in 1861. She. was’married in 1879, and with the execution of a few years in England had lived all her life" at Lower Hutt. Mrs Riddiford was well known for her acts of charity. During the war she did great service at Walton-on-Thames and London. Mrs Riddiford is survived .by her brother, Mr E. P. Bunny, of Lower Hutt. and an adult family of five— Mrs Lindsay (Scotland). Mr Daniel Riddiford (Featlierston), Mr Eric Riddiford (Orongo Orongo), Mrs Liddinrd (England) and Mrs Dudley Kettle (Napier). Two sons, Mr Vivian Riddifqrd and Mr Lionel Riddiford, predeceased her.
