Dalgcty and Co., Ltd.,‘ s rcport on the fortnightly sale held at Afihhurst when a good yarding of sheep ancT cattle came to hand. There was. a keen- inquiry for the breeding ewes offered, and all the sheep were sold at ’ satisfactory prices. In the cattle section dairy cattle, sold well, and there was a firm demand for fats. Quotations: Sound mouth owes, r.w. S.D. ram, 235: ditto Romney ram, 20s; fat ewes, 19s; fat 2-th wethers,-'26s sd; fat b.f. wethers, 21s; empty forward ewes, 13s; w.f. wether lambs, woolly, 14s 9d, 18s. Dairy cows, guaranteed sound, £7, £7 12s-6d; unsound cows, £3 to £4 10s; cows in milk, £4 10s; springing heifers, £6 to £7 2s 6d; fat cows, £3 10s to £5; vealers, £2 Is; store, '•ijeows, £2 to £3 10s.
