PIGS, POULTRY AND PRODUCE. The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report a very keen demand for pigs at their weekly sale held on Thursday: All kinds were keenly sought after, good wcaners realising up to- 15s each, and slips to 21s 6d, with a corresponding increase in the price of stores and porkers. Poultry is now in very keen demand, good hens realising up to 3s 6d each, and cockerels to 4s.- We quote as follows: Pigs.—Good wcaners, from 12s to 15s each; slips, from 163 6d to 21s 6d each; stores, 22s 6d each.
