CHINESE CLAIMS
SUCCESSFUL STRATEGY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 27, 1.5 a.m. LONDON, May 26. The Chinese Embassy announces that the Chinese recapture of Hotseh threatens the rear of the Japanese pressing towards the Lunghai railway. Swarms of Chinese are engaging the Japanese at Linfang, turning the situation in China’s favour. Madame Chiang Kai-chek is drawing attention to the constant transportation of Chinese orphan children to Japan in order to educate them as eventual instruments of Japanese propaganda in China. The Chinese, therefore, are expeditiously rescuing the orphans to prevent kidnapping.
