FROSTS EXPECTED INLAND. . Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 27. The last of the recent series of shallow westerly depressions passed eastward last night. An anti-cyclone still covers the Tasman Sea, but has decreased in. intensity. In the meantime pressure has been falling rapidly over south-eastern Australia. Forecast.- —Light to moderate and variable winds with north-westerly to westerly predominating. Weather: Fine with mild day, but cold night temperatures and frosts inland. Sea, rather rough to rough. RIVER GAUGE. Noon. —2ft. 6in.
