REBELS HOLD COASTLINE. SITUATION IN SPAIN. SALAMANCA. April 20. Following up General Franco’s victory broadcast, the insurgents claim to have widened their grip on the Mediterranean coast to 30 miles. They claim also that they captured 2500 prisoners west to Tortosa, including complete units and also valuable war materials. A Madrid report says the Republicans are indignantly, denying that the war is near its end. They claim to be repulsing the insurgents at various points in the Pyrenees.
