BABY GIRL’S DEATH.
AVOMAN BEFORE COURT. DARGAVILLE. April 19. As a sequel to the discovery of the partly decomposed body of an infant on the bank of the Northern Wairoa River, near Chadwick’s ferry slip, Hazel Francis Evans, a single woman, aged 21, appeared in the Dargaville Magistrate’s Court this morninf charged that on April 3, lat Aratapu, she murdered an infant child, Alma Rosie Evans. On the application of Detective Finlay the accused was remanded to appear at' Auckland on April 27.
