TE ARAKURA
(From Our Own Correspondent.) TE ARAKURA, April 18. The annual meeting of the To Arakura Parents’ Association was held in the schoolroom. Mrs W. E. Thomas presided. Apologies for absence were received from Mcsdames Cleaver and Danielson. Appreciation was expressed to Miss IV. Bailey for her untiring services as secretary and treasurer of uio association sineo its formation years ago. It was stated that a purchase was being made for an extension to the wireless, so that the children in both classrooms would receive full benefit. Mr Baker (head teacher) congratulated the School Committee and the Parents’ Association on the excellent work and interest they had shown. The election of the committee resulted: Chairwoman, Mrs IV. E. Thomas (re-elected); secretary and treasurer, Mrs B. Burnham; committee, Mesdames Baker, Firth, Johnston, Sanne, Goodman, and Messrs J. J. Hume, D. Johnston, G. Firth, R. Stowart, B. Burnham, Baker, Sanne, and H, Haythorne.
