WEDDING.

CHATWIN—TRUSCOTT. On Easter Monday the marriage was solemnised in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Pahiatua, by Eev. H. F. Wilson, of Eunice Gertrude, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs G. W. Chatwin, of "Sherbourne," Pahiatua, to Leslie Arthur, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. B. Truscott, of "CragieBurn ; " Springston, Canterbury. The wedding was fully choral and the bride, escorted by her father, and attended br two maids and a flowergirl, walked down the aisle to the strains of the hymn, "The Voice that Breathed O'er Eden." Mrs J. D. C. Crewe presiding at the organ. The white and gold floral decorations in the church harmonised beautifully with the colour scheme of the bridal party. The bride wore a graceful gown of vellum-tinted fine Albene lace cut on Empire lines, and forming a scalloped edged oval train. The Medici collar was edged with satin loops, and at the neck was a posy of orange blossoms. From the front neck to hem line tiny satin buttons appeared and the long "and tight-fitting sleeves came to a point over the hands. Her beautiful veil (lent by a friend) of vellum tinted Brusseb lace and net formed a long train, and was attached to her head by a halo coronet of orange blossoms; Her cream satin shoes and beautiful sheaf of cream chrysanthemums completed a most artistic toilette.

Attending the bride were Miss Emmeline Ashby, of PaJmerston North, and Miss Marjory Vowell, of Feilding (cousin of the hride) as bridesmaids, wearing particularly arresting gowns in redingoto style. Kuth Chatwin, the bride's niece, iyas the flower girl. Mr Hugh Fairweather. of Christchurch, attended the bridegroom as best man, Mr F. L. Chatwin, of Wellington (brother of the bride) officiating as groomsman. The nshers were Mr G. L. Chatwin and Mr Gordon Trnscott. As the hridal party left the vestry

after the ceremony, the bridge was presented with two lucky emblems, the first—a floral horseshoe—by her tiny niece, Fay Chatwin, and the second—a silver shoe filled with flowers—from Mrs Fotheringham of AVellington. The guests numbering approximately 130, were afterwards received at “Sherbourne” by the bride’s parents, Mrs Chatwin wearing a charming gown of navy mariette patterned with appliqued leaves of lacquered paisley satin and navy velour hat. Her beautiful bouquet was of autumn flowers. Mji A. B. Truscott, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a smart model frock of black taffetas, the full skirt being banded with black velvet, and she wore a small black hat to match. Her pretty bouquet was of pastel shades. Mr and Mrs L. A. Truscott will make their future home in Pahiatua.
