VISIT TO FOCH’S TOMB. Received March 21,-10.30 a.m. PARIS, March 20. Le Matin attacks Mr Lloyd George, who has arrived at Cannes, and describes his visit to Marshal Forch’s tomb as a hypocritical gesture in which the well-known wizard excelled. The newspaper says: “Not a man countered Marshal Foch’s ideas after the war more than Mr Lloyd George.” Ferdinand Foch was a French soldier who enlisted in 1870. When the Great War began he commanded a corps and then an army. The French victory at Marne in 1914 was largely due to his genius.
