PARADE OF POLICE.
SYDNEY SPECTACLE. SYDNEY, March 4. In the first all-Australian police march ever held in Sydney, more than 1000 members of fbe New South Wales Police Force paraded the city to-day. Seventy New Zealand police participated and received a lusty cheer. Thousands lined the route of the procession and saw an inspiring" display of bronzed, athletic men and glittering mobile equipment. The New Zealanders were near the head of the procession, which was led by mounted constables, and included the well known police dog Tess, niul a number of Alsatians from the police kennels The occasion was the police contribution to the 1938 celebrations, which is being continued to-morrow with the biggest police carnival in local history.
