STRIKE ENDED.

STAY-IN OPERA WORKERS. Received March 5, 9.35 a.m. WARSAW, March 4. The theatrical stay-in strike has ended. The Government and the City Council have each promised a £3BOO subsidy to the opera.

The Warsaw correspondent of the Times on February 27 stated that the 400 artists, ballet girls and others who had taken possession of the Warsaw Opera House and embarked on a stayin strike because wages of £SOOO were in arrears, reaffirmed their decision to remain on the premises until their minimum demands were granted. Thirty women became hysterical and departed, but they were replaced by children who were brought in to join their mothers as their homes were without food and unheated.
