WORK FOR PEACE. Received March 4 8.25 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 3. The Secretary of State (Mr Cordell Hull) ou the occasion of the fifth anniversary of President Roosevelt s Administration, issued a memorandum reviewing the work of the State Department and stressing its efforts toward peace in many directions, particularly trade agreements. Mr Hull praised President Roosevelt’s so-called good-'neighbour policy, which he declared must not he unilaterial. He expressed regret that arms reduction and limitation had not been found feasible and that American defences must bo built up.
