WHERE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE ONCE HELD SWAY. — Long-robed priests, court officials and princely mandarins once passed ’neath this archway of yellow and green tile to the Hall Of Classics. Now it is hut one of the many beautiful structures that are slowly falling into decay in the Imperial City. This magnificent triple-arched gateway, ornamented with intricate carvings and delicate designs forms a strange contrast to the decay and desertion around it.
