J 'I WELLINGTON PRICES? Prices of sheepskins showed little change, but hides were firmer at the sale held yesterday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins.-—A smaller offering than usual was submitted. Values generally showed little variation, on last sale’s quotations. Hides.-—A fair selection was offered and keen competition was met with from all sections of the trade. Values for heavy, medium and light grades, with the exception of heavy cow, were from par to. -fd higher than last sale. Yea.rling, kip and heavy calf also improved bv about "id - per lb, while light calf remained firm. Tallow.—No quotable change was recorded. The range of prices is as follows : —• Dry sheepskins.—Halfbred to 9d ; fine crossbred, 7Jd to 83d; medium crossbred. 53d to 8d ; coarse crossbred, 6d to 73d; half wools, 5d to 8d ; quarter wools, 2d to 6id : pelts,' 33d to 53d. Salted skins. —Pelts to Is Id ; quarter wools 6d to 2s 5d ; half wools, 2s 7d to 3s 7d ; laml>s, 6d to Is 6d. Hides.—Ox, 331 b to 441 b. 4jd to 5d ; 451 b to 521 b, 34d to 53d; 531 b to 591 b, 4d to 64d; 601 bto 691 b 6fd to 73d; 7011> and over, 6Jd to 7fd.
