HEALTH AMENDMENT.
REFERRED TO COMMITTEE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 4. The Health Amendment Bill, which was introduced in the earlier part of the session and. contains a number of miscellaneous clauses dealing with health administration, was read the second time pro forma and referred to the Health Committee of the House of Representatives. In reply to a question by the Leader of the Opposition (Hoii. Adam Hamilton), the Minister of Health (Hon. P. Fraser) said he expected that the Bill would be gone ahead with this session. It contained only one clause that was at all debatable, but if there were any doubts about it he was quite prepared to allow it to stand oyer until next session. It was a technical measure, and the Health Committee could deal with it better than the House.
