CENTRAL SCHOOL PICNIC.
Twelve carriages made up the train which conveyed a large number of the children of the Central School, together with a good proportion of parents, from Palmerston North to Ashhurst for tho school’s annual picnic at the Domain this morning. Competitive sports helped to pa.ss tho time away. Tho children were provided with free ice cream and fruit, although their milk supply was not distributed because of transport difficulties.
