PAN HANDLES.
The handles on pans and pan lids often become so hot when in use that they cannot lie held comfortably. Jo save the trouble of using an oven-cloth or kettle-holder for handling them they should he hound with some heatresisting material. For side handles on large aluminium saucepans or frying pans asbestos cord is suitable. Ordinary string may he used for handles less exposed to heat. For pan-lid handles a wrapping of insulating tape or adhesive plaster is excellent. It is easy to apply, and it stays firmly in position.
