RED CROSS PRESIDENT.
VISIT TO ENGLAND. Mrs T. H. Lowry, of Hastings, who is president of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, leaves shortly for England, where she will represent New Zealand at the four-yearly conference of the League of Red Cross Societies, which is to be held in London in June. The last of these conferences was held in Japan. This year it will be opened by Their Majesties the King and Queen, on June 20, and will continue for four days. It is expected that 63 countries will bo represented. Mrs Lowry will be accompanied by Lady Wigram, of Christchurch.
