SINKING OF SHIP. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. Feb. 28. Informing the House of Commons of tlio contents of the Spanish insurgents' note on the sinking of the Alcira, which Britain regarded as unsatisfactory, and of the British rejoinder, the Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) added that in these circumstances the British Government must hold the Salamanca authorities responsible for the damage incurred. It therefore reserved its right to claim full compensation in due course for the sinking of the ship and the losses suffered by the crew.
