CRICKET IN TASMANIA.
BIG WIN FOR TOURISTS. LAUNCESTON, Mar. 1. Bowling for the Australian Eleven in the cricket match against Tasmania, Fleetwood-Smith took four for 22 and Ward three for 26. The Australian Eleven in its second innings lost four wickets for 172, declared (Barnes 89). Tasmania in the second innings made 151 (Morrishy 38, Coombes 37). Fleetwood-Smith, White and Ward shared the wickets. Australia won by 346 runs. ' The Australian cricketer, Barnes, aged 20, who played against Tasmania, now shares with Bradman and Clem Hill the honour at that age of having made 1000 runs in first-class cricket in an Australian season.
