EXECUTIVE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Repertory Society was held last week and many > points were uiscussed and arrangements advanced for the forthcoming Opera House production, “The Queen’s Husband.” which is being produced by Mr F. Cousins. So important was the costuming consider- ; ed to be that it was decided to procure the costumes from ■ Sydney. Mr Cousins reported chat rehearsals are proceeding excellently and that the cast are portraying their parts to his entire satisfaction; in fact, exceeding his expectations. Arrangements for readings, one-vict play nights and other staged productions for the season were also completed. “Lover’s Leap” is to be the opening reading for the season on ~ March 3, and a strong cast is in active rehearsal fo rthis play.
