TRIAL OF SPIES.
SENTENCES IN FRANCE. Received February 26. 10.20 a.m. -METZ (France). Feb. 25. An important spy trial lias concluded of which there are no details except the names and the sentences. A German, Baron Rudolph von Plichen, aged 63, a former, colonel of the Austrian Army, and Theodore Albrecht, aged 65, were each sentenced to 15 yea.rs imprisonment; Dr. Walter Hartmann,, aged 38, the correspondent of a Viennese newspaper in Paris, to twelve years; Henri Noite, aged 27, a former sergeant of the Foreign Legion. to five, years: Hans Lorentz, allegedlv the Lead of a spying organisation, in his absence to twenty years.
