PALMERSTON v. CITY. PRITCHARD IN EORM. Palmerston required a . little over two hours to 'dispose of City—thanks to excellent howling by Pritchard, whose ten overs included six wickets for 24 runs. C. McVicar batted quietly from the start to reach a total of 23. He hit two fours. Hardie had a shaky opening, but settled down later and compiled 26 runs before he was clean bowled by Pritchard. The latter sent down very few loose balls and in taking all his six wickets he clean bowled the batsmen, one with a full toss. In his own contribution of 75 in Palmerston’s innings Pritchard’s performance was a bright feature. Five fours and six sixes were included in the effort which, in association with that of J. Onglev, sped the total along. Ongley made 48. and reached the boundary on five occasions. Details: CITY. C. McVicar, c Pegden, bßobertson 23 S.
