R.S.A.

A meeting of the executive committee of tlio Feilding Returned Soldiers’ Association was held on Thursday evening, Mr B. McLeod presiding. The business of the meeting was confined in the main to matters in connection with the trip to Sydney in April. It was stated that the Feilding quota for the trip had been filled. The committee decided to suggest to headquarters that members of the New Zealand contingent should wear poppies on the march through Sydney. Arrangements were made for the annual meeting and the observance of Poppy Day in Feilding. A letter from headquarters intimated that, at the wish of the Australian R.S.A., each member of the New Zealand contingent should wear a dark suit, black footwear, and a dock felt hat.
