Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 25. Stating that prisoner .had proceeded in the crime of breaking and entering a dwelling with cool deliberation and had committed a similar crime after escaping from custody, Mr Justice Kennedy sentenced William Henry Charles McKay, to-day, to two years’ hard labour, plus 3 months for escaping. Sydney Joseph Samways and Ralph Thomas IVebb appeared for sentence on joint and separate cases of breaking and entering shops, and theft. Samways was ordered reformative detention for one year and nine months, and Webb was sent to the Borstal for a qieriod not exceeding two years.
