HOME BUILDING.
LOAN POLICY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Feb. 23. A policy of extended loans for homebuilding ’purposes is about to be instituted by the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand, and full information will be issued shortly, accordng to a letter from Mesvs A. D. Park and T. N. Smallwood, joint managing directors of the corporation. It is understood the plan is likely to be one of the most far-reaching evolved by the department. Full details are expected to be announced by the Minister -of Finance (Hon. W. Nash) when Parliament meets. It is believed that the rate at which the corporation ; has been lending, 4£ per cent., will not be exceeded under the new scheme, and there is a possibility that even cheaper money may be made available.
