PARLIAMENT.
RESUMPTION ON TUESDAY. ABSENCE OF PREMIER. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. The session of Parliament will resume on Tuesday without the presence of the Prime Minister (Hon. M. J. Savage), who will delegate tho leadership of the House to Hon. P. Fraser (Minister of Education). This development is not clue to the state of Mr Savage’s health, but is necessitated by his first public engagement since his illness —his attendance at the Catholic Centenary celebrations at Auckland. It will be impossible to return to Wellington before Wednesday morning. Although Mr Savage has resumed his duties, he is conserving his strength by limiting the day’s programme.
