FIRE IN HOLD.
EXPERIENCE OF SHIP AT SEA. SYDNEY, Feb. 22? The crew of the steamer Hunter, plying between Newcastle and Sydney, had an exciting experience overnight, while en route to Sydney,'when fire was discovered in the forehold. There were 75 passengers aboard, all of whom were totally ignorant of the fire until the Hunter dropped anchor in Sydney harbour early this morning and "the fire float, which was summoned by wireless, came alongside. It soon subdued the outbreak, which originated among stacks of bags, sheepskins, hales of wool, and zinc oxide. The damage was only slight.
