Diamonds have been discovered in tlie Verneuk Pan, South Africa, the Buslimanland Desert spot where Sir Malcolm Campbell established new sjteed records in 1929. One prospector alone found 100 stones. A Kimberley journal says that a Johannesburg dia- • mond syndicate, is satisfied with the results of prospecting obtained so far.
