The Board of Trade returns for November show total imports of £97,251,000, exports £45,183,000, and reexports £5,305,000. The principal increases, compared with November of last year, are IMPORTS. Grain and flour £1,132,000 Meat £789,000 Dairy produce ... £933,000 Beverages £1,247,000 Non-ferrous ores and scrap £877,000 Wood £1,878,000 Seeds and nuts . - £759,000 Rubber £887,000 Iron & steel manufactures £1,921,000 Non-ferrous metals and manufactures ' £1,503,000 Oils and fats £1,567,000 Papers £708,000 EXPORTS. Coal £890,000 Iron & steel manufactures £1,029,000 Machinery £1,165,000 Vehicles £1,083,000 RE-EXPORTS. Non-ferrous metals and manufactures £747,000 Decreases are recorded as follow IMPORTS. Wool, raw and waste ... £784,000 A significant comparison of present United Kingdom exports to China with November, 1936, is afforded as follows: Iron and steel £62,586, £6318; machinery, £52,039, £1620; cotton goods, £36,497, £1415; vehicles, £44,284, £27,707, £1341; woollens and worsteds, £94,222, £1393; chemicals, £673; tobacco £2349, £57. The News-Clironicle points out that the above eloquently illustrates the collapse of Anglo-Clnnese trade to the extent of 85 per cent, owing to the Japanese aggression.
