(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE, Deo. 13. _ The monthly meeting of tho Women’s Institute took the form of a Christmas treat for the children. The gathering wa= to have taken place on the recreation ground, but the weather being unfavourable it took place m the Methodist Sunday School, and the Christmas tree was well filled with toys which each of the childrefl received. At tho close of th gathering Mrs Jackson (president) conveyed season’s greetings to the members and children. During the past week a gift party was given to Mr R, Pickett, who is to be married shortly. Tile function was arranged by his fellow employees. On Saturday afternoon the Anglican Church and Sunday School held a Christmas outing on the recreation ground, there being a good attendance. The weather being ideal, a pleasant afternoon was spent, the children receiving gifts.
