JURY AAV ARDS DAMAGES. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Dec. 8. A verdict for the full amount claim—£2soß 4s 7d—against both defendants was returned- by the-jury in favour of plaintiff in the case completed before: Mr Justice X'allan, in tlie Supreme Court at Hamilton, in which Cliaries Scivier Goodwill, garage proprietor, of Te Puke, souglit damages from Kathleen Saulbrey, of N'garuawaliia, and Edwin James Parry, a_ farmer, as the outcome of an accident on the main south road at Horotiu on January 27. The circumstances were that plaintiff was a passenger in a car being driven by Doris Mary Hudson from Te Puke to Auckland. Airs Saulbrey was driving south and was about to turn into Duxfield lload, Horotiu, when she was overtaken by the car driven by Parry. There was a collision between 'Parry’s and Airs Saulbrey s cars, and a collision between Parry s car arid the car in which plaintiff was seated. \ Plaintiff, who received severe injuries, alleged negligence on the part of both Airs SauiUrey -and Parry. For the defence the allegations of negligence were denied, and as. an alternative contributory negligence on the part of the driver of plaintiff’s car was alleggd. \ When tlie/jury returned its verdict a new trial was asked for, judgment being deferred pending the hearing of legal argument. °
