STRIKE SETTLED.

DISPUTE IN SOUTH. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Dec. 7. It was annuonced to-night that the strike at the. Linton coal mine had ended and that work would be resumed in the morning. An immediate attempt is to be made to settle the dispute between the company and the union over the recent dismissal of a trucker. The employee concerned has been reinstated pending a settlement of the dispute by the central disputes committee, whose decision is to be final.
