CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY

The annual children’s Christmas party of the Takaro Progressive Association was held on Saturday evening, when 200 children, and parents gathered in the Takaro Hall to enjoy themselves. Dancing and lucky spot novel-, ties were the order of the evening. The children in their carnival hats made a gay scene. Winners of prizes were: Gay Anderson, Murray Graham, Dawn Sollitt, Roy Woollctt, Kathleen Cunneen, Eric Dewar, Kathleen Bowden, Erol Bowden, Ngairc Franklin, Frank Robertson, Mavis Hartley and Albert Cookslcv. A pleasing feature was the singing by Miss Jean Heath, who was heartily encored. Supper was served under the able management of the ladies’ committee. At the close of the evening sweets and- balloons wore given the children.
