WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. Little change and no improvement was shown yesterday in the W ellington stock and share markets, which rer -mained dull. The quotations list at the afternoon call revealed little interest in Government loans, buyers being in for only two issues. Bank ••issues were weak except New Zealands. Goldsbrough Mort eased to business at 31s, buyers staying in at 30s 9d. Other pastoral and financial shares were not quoted on the buying side. Gas, coalmining, meat freezing, insurance, woollens, transport, timber and breweries were stagnant, several of these sections being unquoted. Miscellaneous industrial and trading issues were extremely quiet. Broken Hill Proprietary had a late sale at 60s. G. J. Coles were weak, a sale being made at 83s, and buyers staying in at 81s, sellers asking 82s 6d. Woolworths (Sydney) weakened on sales from 25s 4d to 24s lOd, more being on offer at 24s 9d. Electrolytic Zinc, Mount Lyell and Barrier showed little change. Gold mining issues were not wanted. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
