EGYPTIAN COMMAND.
SIR ROBERT FINLAYSON. (British Official Wireless.) Received November 26. 10.35 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 25. The War Office has announced that Lieutenant-General Sir Robert Gordon Finlayson, Colonel Commant of the Royal Artillery, ’lias been appointed General Officer commanding the British troops in Egypt in succession to General Sir George Weir. Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Robert Gordon Finlayson, C.M.G., D.S.O. was bom in 1881, and entered the Army in 1900. He served in the European war of 1914-1918.
