LABOUR MEMBER.

BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE. CELEBRATIONS IN AUSTRALIA. Received November 26, 10.45 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 25. Dr Hugh Dalton, M.P. (Labour Bishop Auckland) is going to Australia in December a the guest of the New South Wales Government for the Sesquicentenary celebrations. Dr Dalton is a member of the Parliamentary executive and is chairman of the Labour Party. He probably did more than any other member of the Labour Party to induce the conference in their decision not to oppose re-arma-ment. The New South Wales Government has also invited a Conservative member who has yet to be chosen. Dr Dalton afterwards will spend a week in New Zealand. He told the Australia Associated Press that he was looking forward to his first visit to Australia and New Zealand. It would be a pleasure, he said, to renew acquaintance with Mr Savage and Mr W. Nash.
