At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Rowing Association last night, Mr H. Ayres, of Christchurch, Was appointed coach of the Dominion’s ■rowing representatives for the Empire Games at Sydney in February. While gathering balls last evening, at Invercargill, Harry Jackson, aged 16, fell from the roof of St. George School and suffered head injuries, abrasions and a fracture of the clavicle. His condition is reported'to be serious.
