CORDIAL RECEPTION
VISIT TO BRITAIN. ITALIAN EX-SERVICEMEN. I FIFTY IN PARTY. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (British Official Party.) Received November 24, 9.27 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 23. A delegation of 50 members of the Italian ex-servicemen, returning a visit of the British Legion to Rome last year, have arrived at London on a five-day visit. They received a cordial reception from the crowds at Victoria Station.
The delegation, which is headed by Signor Carlo Del Croix, who lost his sight and both arms in the Great War, was met by the Italian Ambassador, Sir Fredrick Maurice, president of the British Legion, and other representatives of the British and Italian Legions. This morriing they visited the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior and at midday were received at the War Office by Mr L. Hore-Belislia, Secretary of State for War.
They will be entertained to-night at dinner by the British Legion, and tomorrow the delegation will be received by the King at Buckingham Palace. Later in the day there will be a reception at the Italian Embassy.
