COLLAPSE OF POLE.
ELECTRICIAN INJURED. Per Press Association. WHAKATANE, Nov. 23. The collapse of a power pole yesterday afternoon resulted in Mr Len Ormond, an electrician in the employ of the Whakatane Borough Council, having his skull and a leg fractured. He had mounted the pole and disconnected wires to be replaced by higher lines. The pole broke below ground and fell on top of him. He wag picked up unconscious and was conveyed to the Wliakatane Hospital. He is in a serious condition.
