GERMAN INFLUENCE. Received November 23, 1.40 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 23. Tlie Times Berlin correspondent says it seems unlikely that Hungary will adhere to the anti-Comintern Pact. During the present visit of M. Dedaranyi and M. Dekanya which is primarily in return for Baron von Neurath’s visit to Budapest, the visitors will presumably receive renewed assurances of German sympathy with the Hungarian demands for rearmament treaty revision, and the protection of Hungarian minorities, but the extent to which Germany can support Hungary is limited as long as Hungary desires friendly terms with the other Central European States. The recent attempt by Britain and France to improve thou - political and economic relations with Hungary has been remarked on here, but it is believed the Hungarian Ministers have assured Germany on the broad lines of the present foreign policy.
