A RECIPE.
HARICOT BEEF. Take lslb stewing steak, two cupfuls water, 2 tablespoonfuls butter, 2 cupfuls diced carrots, J cupful flour, 2 chopped onions, 2 tablespoonfuls chopped parsley, salt. Cut the meat into small pieces. Dip in flour. Alelt the butter in a frying pan. Fry till njeut is browned. Place meat in a casserole, then fry onions lightly and add. Pour water into Hying pan to extract full benefit of the browned meat and add with seasoning. Cover and simmer for one hour. Add carrots, and simmer till cooked. Add more seasoning if required and choplied parsley and serve in casserole.
