. AIARTON, Nov. 19. The continued dry weather was broken this morning by a beneficial fall of rain. Lower Rangitikei received a good soaking, and farmers are greatly relieved. The Taranaki-AVanganui Alethodist Synod concluded its session yesterday. Votes of thanks were extended to all who had contributed to its success A fine display of arts and crafts work and general hand work, executed by the pupils, was on exhibition to- ? t „, the barton District High School.
