Mrs G. G. Priest, of Weston Avenue, Palmerston North, has as her guest her sister, Mrs 11. Priest, of Timaru. Miss H. Wallace, of Plimmerton, after a short visit to Palmerston North, returned home yesterday. Mr and Mrs J. Wallace, of Plimmerton, also recently visited Palmerston North. In addition to her other recent Show successes, Mrs C. W. Turner, of lvairang.t, gamed the points prize in the open cookery section of the Royal Show, with 100 points. Mrs H. E. Turney, of Kairanga, won the points prize in the novice cookery section. An extensive tour of the South Island is planned by Mr and Mrs A. Grigor and Miss M. Grigor, who left Palmerston North last Friday. When, later they go on a trip to Milford Sound, they will be joined by Mr Renton Grigor, of Otago University. With painful suddenness, the death occurred in a. private hospital in Palmerston North yesterday of Mrs Norma Lascelles, the wife of Mr A. M. Lascelles. Mrs Lascelles, who was the only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Pearson, of Wellington, and formerly of Christchurch, became seriously ill on Saturday night after attending the city’s jubilee celebrations. Her passing is deeply deplored by numerous friends.
